16 “You will be filled with disgrace rather than honor.
Now you yourself (A)drink and [a]expose your own nakedness.
The (B)cup in the Lord’s right hand will come around to you,
And (C)utter disgrace will come upon your glory.
17 “For the (D)violence [b]done to Lebanon will [c]overwhelm you,
And the devastation of its beasts [d]by which you terrified them,
(E)Because of human bloodshed and (F)violence [e]done to the land,
To the town and all its inhabitants.

18 “What (G)profit is the [f]idol when its maker has carved it,
Or [g]an image, a (H)teacher of falsehood?
For its maker (I)trusts in his own handiwork
When he fashions speechless idols.
